Microcontroller design for active vibration control

Abstract. Active Vibration Control (AVC) problem is successfully studied considering all the characteristics of a control problem. The controlled system consists honeycomb panel carbon fiber. Expensive devices are in general used for setting up and designing AVC this due to limitations practical implementation. In our work we point low cost solution using microcontroller that has been verified. plate forces with out plane load an electrodynamic shaker at resonances identified by experimental modal analysis. Piezoceramic patches as sensor actuator control. Multiple analog signal processing circuits were developed scale shift input output MCU. Positive Position Feedback (PPF) algorithm proposed, campaign tests carried harmonic excitations resonance frequencies. Experimental results show amplitude velocity reduction from 50% 77% less Power Spectral Density (PSD) attenuation 12.8 dB. size structural properties MFC patches, unit structure under suitable automobile aerospace applications.
